Academic Writing - Grammar and Punctuation

I’m trying to make my session on grammar and punctuation - part of a postgraduate module on academic writing at MaynoothUniversity -as engaging  as possible. It’s interesting to hear the challenges PhD students identify in relation to grammar and punctuation. The use of colons and semi-colons, tense, voice and sentence structure have all come up as concerns for students in their writing.  I’ve used a few quizzes in the Moodle VLE, otherwise it could be dull.  Click here for my PowerPoint presentation.
