are extremely excited to announce that the CILIP Conference 2016 Call for
Papers is now open. As well as the call for papers, we have launched our brand
new conference website so you can see who our first keynote speaker is and take
advantage of our early bird delegate rates.

Conference 2016 - Call for Papers now
open The CILIP Conference takes place on 12-13 July 2016 at The Dome, Brighton.
The conference will seek to inspire our audience, share knowledge, raise debate
and provide networking opportunities. It will cover a broad range of issues from
across the library, information and knowledge professions.
We
are seeking entries for papers, and nominations for any individuals or groups
who would fit in with the conference programme.

three core conference themes are:
Managing
Information
Whether
you work in a library or a business, in Government, education or the NHS,
Information Management is likely to become an increasingly important aspect of
your work.
This
theme looks at the latest best practice and emerging ideas in Information
Management, including:

Managing knowledge, information and data as assets
Everyday
Innovation
In
a time of tremendous change, library and information professionals need to
ensure that we continue to develop innovative, high-quality services that meet
the needs of our communities.
We
want to showcase individuals or organisations who have made a difference on a
day-to-day basis by delivered outstanding services with existing resources. We
want to inspire others by sharing these experiences and knowledge with our
community.
This
theme looks at examples of best practice from the world of libraries and
information management including:

Excellence in customer service

Building relationships with communities • Promoting equality, diversity and
intellectual freedom
Using
Technology
Technology
has transformed the landscape for library and information services, offering
new opportunities to build relationships and deliver value for customers.
This
theme looks at the different ways in which library and information
professionals are using technology to enhance their services, including:

Community engagement
How
to submit a paper or nominate a speaker
Proposals and nominations should be submitted
to Head of Events at CILIP-.
by Friday 12th February 2016. Proposal abstracts will be reviewed by the
independent chair appointed for each theme. If you would like to nominate any
individuals or groups who you feel would fit in with the conference programme
