Articles Published on Irish Archives available on open access

Explore Your Archive campaign runs from Saturday 19th November until Sunday 27th November. I decided to do a quick search to try to identify articles published on various aspects of Irish archives, that are on open access.  This is in no way comprehensive. If you are aware of any published articles, that are on open access, not included here do send me details (including url) let me know before September 27th and I will update this listing.

Until end of April 2017, a special Irish virtual issue of the New Review of Academic Librarianship (NRAL) will be available on open access. Jane Burns' article provides interesting information on the Mary Martin Diary - a World War I Diary - which she was involved in digitising.

There are a number of items relating to archives in the Rian database.
Regina Richardson's book chapter provides an overview of the Salamanca Archive held at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth within the context of the history of the Irish Colleges in Spain. Susan Leyden's article details the creation of an online catalogue of this archive.
Antoinette Doran's article gives insight into the Edna O'Brien archives in UCD library.
Helen Fallon and Anne Ryan explore integrating archives into the undergraduate curriculum.
Rónán Galvin's  paper reports on the digitisation of a folk song and music collection.

An Leabharlann: The Irish Library is now on open access (except for the most recent issue).  Content from 2010 forward can be searched via www.edepositIreland.ie  Earlier issues need to be searched individually.
