Irish Virtual issue of New Review of Academic Librarianship available

I’m pleased to have led an initiative with NRAL and Taylor and Francis to produce this special virtual issue of the New Review of Academic Librarianship (NRAL) which provides free access to 15 articles from 24 authors sharing insights into how Irish librarians are addressing issues and developments which are common concerns to the international library profession. These articles are part of a growing body of research literature being created by Irish librarians providing a valuable record of Irish research and practice over the past seven years for current and future practitioners and researchers in Ireland and internationally. This special issue celebrates the contribution of Irish librarians to The New Review of Academic Librarianship (NRAL) and marks Library Ireland Week (LIW) an annual event in November to celebrate Irish libraries and the contribution of information professionals to society.
Philip Cohen, President of the Library Association of Ireland, will formally launch the virtual issue at a reception closing the seminar Academic Librarians Communicating in the 21st Century: Perspectives from New Review of Academic Librarianship in Maynooth University Library on 20th October.
