Dear All,
Could you please bring the notice below to the attention of your library colleagues, and encourage anyone interested to apply.
The Acquisitions Group of Ireland (AGI) is pleased to sponsor one library staff member from an AGI member library to attend the 42nd UKSG Conference and exhibition in Telford from 08 to 10 April 2018.
  • The winning applicant will be provided with a sponsorship that will cover the cost of the conference delegate fee, as well as the reimbursement of reasonable travel costs for the purpose and duration of the conference.
  • The sponsorship value will run to a maximum of €1500
  • The winning applicant will be responsible for booking their conference place,  travel and accommodation and the AGI Treasurer will reimburse them on presentation of valid receipts / statements.
  • The sponsored attendee will be expected to provide a brief verbal or written report / presentation to the next meeting of the Acquisitions Group of Ireland following the conference.  In this case the meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 7th May 2019, venue TBA.
  • Please note that there is an embargo of 1 year on the institute that was awarded the bursary to NAG in 2017.
  • The draw for the winner will take place on Wednesday 12th December and the winning applicant will be contacted by email
  • Conference registration is not open until early January but I have been advised by the organisers that accommodation may fill up early so the winner may wish to get his/her hotel booked before registration: http://www.reservation-highway.co.uk/conference_info.php
Please submit applications for the AGI sponsorship through the local AGI representative within your institute. Applications by email please to Maura Stephens,  by Tuesday 11th December 2018.
