Call for speakers - Innovation in Customer Service

24 June is the deadline for the call for speakers for the CSGUK Annual Conference, taking place on 28 November 2019 in Cardiff.

This year’s conference theme is innovation. We are looking for speakers to share how they are innovating to continue to provide excellent customer service in the light of reductions in budgets, growing user demands and changes in strategic direction.
Topics you might like to consider are:

Are you doing more with less?
How are you harnessing new technology and responding to “digital first” expectations? Are you working with suppliers on new solutions?
What new approaches are you using to transform your service culture / staffing deployment ?
Have you changed staff models/responsibilities to innovate within your service?
Have you developed innovative feedback and/or engagement methods to understand your customers?
How are you encouraging staff and customers to develop your service?
Has your service taken a new direction?
Have you taken any inspiration or ideas from outside the world of libraries to improve your services?
What have you tried but hasn’t worked?
What service have you stopped delivering – tell us the story!

We’d love to hear from you if you are able to answer any of the questions above. We’re looking for people able to speak solo or as part of a duo or group. Slots will include:
·       In-depth presentations for 30-45 mins: some of which may incorporate ‘Lightning Strikes’ for immediate round table follow up discussion
·        Shorter presentations (20 mins)
·        Practical sessions to engage delegates

All of your ideas are welcome as we seek to deliver another innovative and impactful conference dedicated to customer service. If you are interested in speaking, please contact Events Group Chair Helen Loughran a by 24 June 2019
